Basel Kaskas is the President of True North Insurance, a division of Oracle RMS, proudly serving individuals, families, and businesses across Simcoe County, Ontario, and throughout Canada. Since entering the insurance industry in 2013, Basel built his career from the ground up in commercial insurance, developing extensive experience handling a wide range of risks — from small local businesses to large-scale national and global operations.

Known for his client-first approach, Basel has earned a reputation for being knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely invested in the people and businesses he serves. Having learned from some of the most respected professionals in the industry, he combines deep insurance expertise with a strong commitment to personalized service. His mission is simple: provide clients with the best possible protection while always being accessible, responsive, and trusted when they need guidance most.

Beyond insurance, Basel believes strongly in community involvement and relationship-building. He takes pride in being more than just a broker — striving to be a familiar face, a contributor to the community, and someone clients can count on long after the policy is signed.

A dedicated family man, Basel enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters. Outside of work, he loves the outdoors, traveling, basketball, and giving back whenever possible. His passion for people, business, and community continues to drive the vision behind True North Insurance.

Gabriela Vera Perez

Gabriela is a business professional with experience in commercial insurance, project coordination, marketing, and business operations across Canada and Ecuador. Throughout her career, she has developed strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on delivering accurate, efficient, and client-centered service.

Currently, Gabriela works in Commercial Lines Insurance at True North Insurance, where she supports brokers and clients with policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, billing inquiries, and general account management. She plays a key role in ensuring documentation accuracy, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting day-to-day brokerage operations in a fast-paced environment.

Prior to her current role, Gabriela worked as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry, where she managed multiple projects simultaneously, coordinated with stakeholders, tracked timelines, and ensured deliverables were completed on schedule. This experience strengthened her ability to manage detail-intensive work, prioritize competing tasks, and communicate effectively under pressure. Earlier roles in government planning, marketing coordination, and customer service further developed her problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and client-focused approach.

Gabriela holds an MBA from CEUPE, European Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration that has been assessed as equivalent to a Canadian degree by the University of Toronto. Her academic background, combined with diverse professional experience, enables her to understand business operations, risk management, and structured organizational processes.

Her core strengths include commercial insurance support, broker assistance, policy administration, certificates of insurance (COIs), renewals and endorsements, client relationship management, process improvement, organization and time management, attention to detail, effective communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and a variety of business systems.
